Diamond DA 20-C1 C-GDDP

Aircraft is currently in the process of being repaired to be returned to service.

The nose wheel fell off during a touch-and-go. Air traffic control (ATC) noticed and advised the pilot. The aircraft circled until emergency vehicles were at the airport and then landed. During the landing, the aircraft was operated at a reduced airspeed, with the fuel and magnetos shut off. The front nose gear strut broke off the aircraft and the aircraft slid to a stop on the front lower engine cowl. NO PROP STRIKE, Nicely equipped avionics, 575 hr TSO engine & MT propeller
